This place is located in Sætervik. A small and typical Norwegian village with about 100 inhabitants. The village is beautifully situated in the lovely Norwegian nature and directly near the sea. Traditionally, these villages were dependent on fishing and nowadays, in addition to fishing, tourism also plays an important role.
There is a local supermarket, post office and school and then you've had it. It is a small paradise for lovers of unspoiled nature and tranquility. During the week you will almost always come across an osprey and a school of seals in front of the coast which are the confirmation of a healthy fish stock.
Seter Brygge is the central point in the village during the summer season. There is a restaurant here where many local activities are organised and where you can have a meal if you don't want to cook yourself after a long day of fishing. The restaurant has a spacious terrace where you can hear the seagulls and smell the sea. It is open daily from May to September and also by appointment. For groups it is also possible to make appointments for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner. Ask us for the possibilities.
Fishing from this location already takes place on short distances. At only 1 kilometre sailing it is already 250 meters deep. When the weather is not so good you can go to the sheltered Svesfjorden and under normal circumstances there is a big group, at less than 2 kilometers, of islands with also great depths that generate a lot of current and therefore also fish. Short sailing distances and a large amount of fish rich spots make this an ideal fishing location.
Among others, Bjornskallen, Revlingskallen and Hovollgrunnen are underwater mountains that rise from more than 300 meters to a depth of 31, 38 and 55 meters respectively. Top spots for fishing and especially for the large coalfish for which Seter is famous. The largest specimen caught here is 22.8 kilos! And that is only 400 grams less than the Norwegian record. In other words: This a good spot!
This fishing camp has 14 spacious apartments.
All apartments have a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, stove with oven and refrigerator. The living room has a sofa, chairs, dining area, TV and apartments 1, 2 and 3 also have a magnificent view over the harbour. Of course the bathroom with shower and toilet should not be missing. Due to the large number of spacious holiday homes and apartments in combination with the restaurant, this location is ideal for larger groups. For groceries, the supermarket is 300 meters away.
To fillet the fish there is a separate filleting room with running water and workbenches. In the room right next door there is a freezer available per apartment / house to freeze any fish you want to take with you. It is also possible to get a fishing guide here.
