This location is ideal for fishermen who are looking for big fish but would like to fish sheltered in Northern Norway. The Solbergfjord lies between the mainland and the island of Senja. This means that due to the large difference in ebb and flow, good currents are created here. And where there is current, there is fish! On top of that, you don't have to drive far for the good spots. Opposite the pretty town of Sørreisa lies the beautiful Furøy Fishing Camp at the peninsula with the same name. From Bardufoss airport it only takes 40 minutes. This can be done either by transfer or by rental car.

The location is directly by the water and the houses have views of the fjord and there is a sauna, bar and stable 18-foot boats with economical 25 HP engines available. The landscape around this Sørreisa-Fjord is characterized by the typical and idyllic mountain ranges of northern Norway. Even in summer, the peaks are covered with snow and offer a wonderful contrast to the green wooded surroundings. The island of Senja opposite the location offers very good wind protection, which means that there are rarely any lost days. Furthermore, there is practically no professional fishing in this inland region, which makes it a real gem for fishermen.

The abundance of fish here is great and also the underwater structures already reveal that there are many potential hotspots present. From april onwards, reports are coming in of cods weighing 20 kilos as well as large wolffish. After that it will soon be the alibut, coalfish, haddock etc turn up. Especially in autumn, large schools of coalfish come swimming into the fjord that guarantee spectacular drills with the right equipment.

At this location we have different types of apartments

There is a two persons room (3 x)

The room is 15 m2 and features a small equipped kitchen studio with 2 burner electric stove, refrigerator, kettle, microwave and private shower / toilet as well as a sitting area and a double bed of 1.50 meters wide. A maximum of 2 people can stay here.

Apartment with 2 bedrooms ( 5 x)

These apartments are 55 m2 and have a fully equipped kitchen with 4 burner stove, oven, dishwasher, kettle, coffee maker and microwave. In addition, a private bathroom with shower / toilet and a living room with a sitting area, satellite TV and a DVD player. Furthermore, each bedroom is equipped with two single beds. These apartments also have a view over the Reisa fjord. A maximum of 4 persons can stay here.

Apartment with 3 bedrooms ( 1 x)

These apartments are 110 m2 and have a fully equipped kitchen with 4 burner stove, oven, dishwasher, kettle, coffee maker and microwave. There is also a private bathroom with shower / toilet and a living room with a sitting area, satellite TV and a DVD player. Furthermore, each bedroom is equipped with two single beds. These apartments also have a view of the Reisa fjord. A maximum of 6 persons can stay here.

Directly on the pier is the service building with the spacious freezers. A dry room so you can put on a dry suit and shoes the next day. In the second cabin you will find the solarium and sauna which you can use for an extra fee. There is also a hot tub and a fireplace.

On site there are spacious and comfortable 18 foot polyester fishing boats available with 25 HP 4 stroke engines, gaff and GPS/fishfinder. The boats have a console and are very efficient in use. They offer enough space for 4 anglers and because this location is so sheltered you do not need larger boats.

Fish overalls can be rented for 50 euros per week, fishing rod and reel can be rented for 100 euros per week. The changeover day is free of choice and the minimum stay is 1 week. The location has a handful of extra facilities such as a filleting area with running water and freezers, sauna and whirlpool. The whirlpool and sauna can be used for a small surcharge.

The nearest supermarket is 6 kilometres away in Sørreisa. Petrol for the boats is available locally and can only be paid in cash on the evening before departure in Norwegian Kroner. Other things can be paid locally by credit card.

These prices are per week and include the cost ofthe fishing boat electricity, water, bedlinen and final cleaning. The fishing boat does not include fuel.

A return transfer from Bardufoss airport to the fishing camp costs 75 euro pp with a minimum of 4 persons. Free Wifi is available at the camp for all guests.
