MONSTER PEACOCKS IN THE COLOMBIAN JUNGLE

On the border of Colombia with Venezuela in the middle of the jungle of the Amazon we have two different camps to experience the absolute fishing adventure of a lifetime! Fishing in the Amazon! Near Guaviare or El Tuparro National Park you will experience the best fishing in the Amazon. There are two different possibilities to experience the ultimate fishing adventure.

  • Cano Bocon
  • Tuparro and Orinoco

Each and every one of them are crazy and high quality expeditions that are perfectly organized and give you the ultimate fishing trip you won't forget for the rest of your life!

CANO BOCON

Staying in this comfortable lodge in the middle of the jungle is an amazing experience. The flora and fauna is particularly impressive because you will find yourself among jaguars, tapirs, anacondas, giant otters, caimans, parrots, river dolphins and so on. You literally imagine yourself in the largest zoo on earth. Only these are all real wild animals. The local Indians also call this location Asiwere which in local language means large peacock bass. And this species is just one part of the catches from this location.

Here we have a permanent lodge from where we visit several satellite camps to be able to fish as many different locations as possible from the base camp. This fishery is very diverse and the species caught here are: pacu, catfish (different species), matrinxa, payara, peacock, tambaqui, piraiba, red tail, jau, bicuda and more. The largest peacocks are around 20 pounds and you hook between 10 and 20 a day with an average weight between 12 and 20 pounds. But also the other fish species will certainly put you to the test such as red tails over 100 pounds, giant piraibas over 100 pounds and tambaqui that reach up to 80 pounds. It is fantastic to have one species that can reach this size on a fishing location but then so many species make it clear why this is an absolute top location with similar fishing.
